A JOURNEY TO THE HEART BEHIND THE PLATE

Over 5 days and 4 nights, we will journey from the source of Mexico’s ingredients — the soil, hands, and stories that nourish them — to the Michelin-level tables where they are transformed into art.

This is where the quiet presence of a regenerative farm at dawn balances the glow of a world-class restaurant at night.

Where we listen to the stories of farmers, artisans, chefs, and servers and witness how each thread weaves the tapestry of place. All while resting in the serenity of Orchid House.

MEET YOUR HOSTS

VANESSA

  • Vanessa moves through Mexico’s food world with a rare kind of intimacy. The chefs, the farmers, the table you cannot get into — she knows the people behind each one, and they know her. Her gift is logistics held with grace: the timing of a sunrise farm visit, the seat saved at the chef’s counter. With her, every detail is already taken care of, so all that’s left is to taste, to listen, to belong.

KAREN

  • Karen has a way of meeting people that feels like coming home. She listens fully, remembers the small things, and gathers strangers into something that quickly resembles family. Flowers follow her everywhere — on the table, in the welcome, woven into how she makes a room feel alive. Her presence is the soft thread that turns a trip into a memory you carry, and the guests who travel with her tend to stay in touch long after the journey ends.

ALEJANDRO

  • Alejandro is the brother who knows the door behind the door. The mezcalero’s family kitchen, the artisan’s workshop after hours, the rooftop the locals quietly love — these are the places he opens for you. His curiosity is contagious, and his itineraries lean toward the unexpected: a chance encounter, a hidden room, a story you would not have found on your own. With Alejandro, the journey reveals its other side, the one most travelers never see.

MICHELL

  • Michell shapes the journey the way she shapes interiors and poems: through a love for the handmade. As founder of Welcome Home and a partner at Orchid House, she weaves design, hospitality, and storytelling into every detail of the experience. Her invitation is simple — to feel at home in Mexico.
